Facilitation

Facilitation means to make easy or more convenient. The role Madeleine takes is to enable participants reach their goal (however they define that). She has the skills and knowledge to assist people talk about what really matters, no matter how tricky. Effective faciltiation means the work gets done, the real problems are addressed and people have maintained and often strengthened their relationships.

Executive Coaching

The coach role is to support individuals to understand more fully how to be powerful in their interactions with others. By clarifying what outcomes they are really seeking, then practically understanding what gets in the way, followed by building the skills that allow this to occur. Madeleine uses a range of techniques to help people find the solution that works for them. She knows real change can and does happen.

Supervision

The purpose is to assist the practitioner learn from his or her experience, as well as to ensure good service to the client or patient.

Training and Workshop Delivery

This includes working with you to:

  • understand your needs;
  • develop a programme that fulfills this; and
  • delivering cost effective ways to provide robust information that will improve performance.

Some examples are Managing Difficult Conversations, Developing a Collaborative Culture, Communication in Organisations, Giving Robust Feedback, Being Assertive, Facilitation Skills, Grief and Loss, Being Resilient, Stress Management, Adult Learning, Facilitating Conflict Situations.

She believes "old dogs" can learn new tricks and thinks that life can be hard enough without making it worse. Understanding the decisions we make and how we can respond in the moment is key. Becoming skilled in working with People makes the world that little bit more peaceful.

Raising Resilient Children - Winter Series

In Johnsonville we are holding 3 hour workshops 9.30- 12.30 on 5th April, 3rd May, 8th June and 6th July for parents, caregivers, grandparents, parent educators, social workers, counsellors. $200 plus GST for the 4 workshops or $50.00 per session.

Madeleine also runs a 6-week (12 hour) workshop series to understand how to raise resilient children. The material is based on the research by Jean Illesley Clarke et al.

About Madeleine

Madeleine has worked in organisations for the last 15 years, specialising in managing intereactions with people. Her most recent assignment was teaching soft skills in Bangladesh. Madeleine completed a degree in social work at Massey University in 1979 before working as a social worker in the health and mental health areas. She was appointed the Staff Welfare Officerfor a local government organisation prior starting a private practice in 1995. Madeleine is a certified mediator with LEADR, an accredited Conflict Partnership Facilitator and Trainer, a certified Executive Coach a registered Social Worker and is currently working towards her certification in Organisational Transactional Analysis.

Madeleine works across a range of sectors Private Enterprise, Not for Profit, Government, and private clients.
